What Is the First Year Aid?

Starting university is exciting but it can also be overwhelming.
That’s where Unipal’s First Year Aid comes in.

It’s a 2-month guided support program designed specifically for newly admitted students.
We make your arrival, registration, and settling-in process safe, smooth, and stress-free while keeping your parents reassured every step of the way.

Fee: ₦20,000 only
Duration: 2 months
Optional Full-Year Package: ₦30,000 (covers first & second semesters for continued support)

How It Works

1. Pre-Arrival Coordination
Once you subscribe, we assign you a UniPal Guide (a trained staff) and a Palpaddy (a verified final-year student).
You’ll receive a private password shared only with your assigned team this ensures safe identification and communication.
Your team begins preparing for your arrival right away.

2. Arrival Support
We assist you from the moment you get to town. Options include:

  • Pickup from Enugu airport, nearest park, or school gate

  • Discussion of preferred transport option (public or private cab) based on your budget

  • You’ll be safely received by your UniPal team.

3. Temporary Accommodation & Orientation

  • We help you secure temporary accommodation on or near campus.
(Cost of accommodation is separate, but we guide you through it.)

  • We provide a personalized university and environment tour, including key offices, hostels, banks, eateries, and transport points.

  • We introduce you to your department and faculty, explaining university culture and important rules.

4. Registration & Campus Setup
We guide you through:

  • Departmental and faculty registration

  • Course form filling and verification

  • Student portal activation

  • Locating your lecture venues and creating your timetable

  • Accessing essential university services (medical center, ICT, library, etc.)

5. Settling into Permanent Accommodation
Once your school registration is complete, we:

  • Help you secure suitable permanent housing

  • Supervise moving in and getting comfortable

  • Provide on-call support for any issues that come up (power, water, roommates, etc.)

6. Social & Academic Integration

  • You’ll be introduced to healthy social and academic communities.

  • Your Palpaddy and Guide ensure you’re connected, not isolated.

  • If you choose, we’ll guide your involvement in campus associations, societies, or religious groups for balanced student life.

7. Continuous Support During the 2 Months

  • You can reach us anytime for advice or assistance.

  • Our Customer Support Line is always available for questions or emergencies.

  • After the 2-month First Year Aid period, you may upgrade to the Full-Year Unipal Plan to continue enjoying full mentorship, academic tracking, and parent-liaison benefits.

A large auditorium is filled with seated students dressed in uniforms, most of whom are wearing lanyards with identification cards. At the front, there are several individuals, including an older woman in a yellow saree and three men, sitting in blue chairs. The room is well-lit with ceiling lights and has decorated walls.
